Estancia Santa Inés, Misiones
Santa Inés is 20 km from Posadas in the Misiones province that includes Iguazu Falls and several Jesuit Ruins. If you've never heard the chorus of howler monkeys in full swing, you'll find it's an ethereal experience here at the estancia.  The troop lives in harmony with the farm, just steps away from the 1906 English style estancia run by Nanny and her brother Ricardo, grandchildren of the original homesteader.
Here, yerba mate was first cultivated as a plantation crop, rather than harvesting the tea leaves from the indigenous trees. Today the "green gold" tea keeps them rooted on this working farm. Whereas many jungles were cut down for their farming potential, Don Pedro Núñez loved the bamboo groves and meadows and so preserved the 2.000 hectare virgin rainforest. They are beloved now as they were then.
